What was so wonderful about the setup of this cultural exchange program is meeting all the funds and organisations in person. Putting a face to the name. It's always of immensely value to connect personally and the weekend in this beautiful chapel room did just that. The program was fun and relaxing and informative. We also got to meet the other islands whom we see way too few: Saba, Statia, Sint Maarten and we from both sides have the desire to collaborate and exchange more! Thank you for the contact list we got in the end. Everything is wel thought out.
Also we were attended to by a very nice catering and by the staff of PBCCG.
It was a treat!

Thank you very much for the invitation and I felt home when I met so wonderful, talented people who had the same goals in the Art and Culture world. I realized that we are all connected and we are all aiming for the success of our projects, thinking about the preservation of the Art and Culture in our islands. I met people that had the same ambition in life and how we all have a common goal.
Every person there carried their island in their hearts and wanted to share it with everybody. So I felt like I was in an island tour where I was getting so much information, so many pictures of all these beautiful islands. A big exhibition of their islands, their art and culture and most of all their beliefs for a better world.
I had the opportunity to connect, to establish friendships and to have new partners in the future projects. I wish that we had more time to talk and to communicate face to face with the other people invited. This is what I missed and to have more time with the funds.
But you opened the world to us, because I was thinking that I was alone in this fight, but now I have more people around me that aim for the same goal and together we can achieve more! My wish is that we can organize this once a year and meet each other in another island. Then we can visit each other, strenghten ties and to keep supporting each other with the projects and goals.
Planta awe, cosecha mayan! You have planted the seeds and tomorrow and in the future nearby we will have harvest!

Leuk programma en goeie variatie van type activiteiten. Soms receptief en soms actief deelnemen. Soms theoretisch en soms creatief. De segmenten duurden net lang genoeg. Goede begeleiding van Reshapers en ook fijne begeleiding van het PBCC team.
Het enige wat ik een beetje miste was meer tijd om (ongestuctureerd/gestructureerd) te kunnen minglen met de aanwezigen. Het was een unieke kans om collega's uit de regio persoonlijk te spreken.

Jullie kunnen super trots zijn op het georganiseerde! Het was mooi te zien hoeveel mensen er waren en hoe iedereen met elkaar in contact kwam, precies zoals het de bedoeling was. Ik ben ook zeker blij dat het zo is uitgepakt na onze meeting op Bonaire hierover.
Als ik twee dingetjes mag noemen voor een volgende keer, is dat het goed zou zijn om alle deelnemers op beide dagen te hebben. Dat werkt beter als "lijm". De creators die pas op dag 2 erbij waren hadden feitelijk weinig tijd om te mixen met de carriers. Qua kosten kan je het gelijk houden door dag 1 te starten om 11am bijvoorbeeld (dan kan iedereen invliegen) en het programma tot 6pm te laten gaan, en vervolgens de tweede dag zoals het ook nu was.
Tweede dingetje is dat dag 1 lang zitten was aan het begin, ik zou zeker denken aan een soort ijsbreker eerder te doen wat beetje bewegelijk is.
That's it, ik ben benieuwd hoe de exchange gaat doorwerken bij de deelnemers.

Dit fantastische weekend bracht creatieve kunstenaars, culturele aanvragers en cultuurdragers bij elkaar vanuit het hele Koninkrijk. Een uniek evenement waarbij presentaties, discussies en actieve werkvormen zorgden voor inspiratie, verbinding en (nieuwe) kennismakingen. Gezamenlijk werd er vooruit gekeken naar de mogelijkheden voor een duurzaam en krachtige kunst- en cultuursector op de eilanden.
Wat ons betreft zou dit evenement om het jaar terug mogen komen, omdat juist deze fysieke ontmoetingen noodzakelijk zijn en zorgen voor meer begrip en duurzame samenwerkingen.
